Contract manufacturing, built for low to medium volume

Low to medium volume is our core business, not a rounding error. As a UK contract manufacturer we take your part from prototype to production in our own facilities, with every moulding method under one roof and nothing subcontracted out.

Why Gemini

A contract manufacturer that treats your run as a priority.

Larger contract manufacturers are built for high volume, so a low volume or small batch job sits at the back of the queue. While we have the capacity to handle high volume needs, low volume manufacturing is our bread and butter.

You are a customer, not a rounding error

01

Made in the UK

Designed, tooled and moulded in our own UK facilities. We do not subcontract the moulding out to Europe or the Far East, so provenance, quality and lead times stay in our hands.

02

Every method under one roof

Injection moulding, liquid silicone rubber, blow moulding, thermoforming, welding, assembly, finishing and tooling all run in the same building. One accountable team, no hand-offs between vendors.

03

Niche manufacturing

We take on the niche and complex projects that high volume manufacturers turn away. Low volumes, awkward geometries, unusual materials and tight tolerances are the work we set up for every day, with the in-house engineering to make them repeatable.

Manufacturing capabilities

Eight in-house services

Injection Moulding

Arburg and Demag presses, multi-cavity P20 tooling, from first samples to production runs.

View Service

Liquid Silicone Rubber

Medical and FDA-approved silicones on a BOY LSR line, with a speed-mixer system and over-moulding onto thermoplastic substrates.

View Service

Blow Moulding

Extrusion and injection blow moulding from 200ml to 6.4 litres, for bottles, containers and technical hollow parts.

View Service

Thermoforming

Formed sheet parts for enclosures, trays and covers, where a full moulding tool is not the right route for the volume.

View Service

Plastic Welding

Ultrasonic welding for ABS, PP and HIPS, plus hot-plate welding and heat staking for assembled parts.

View Service

Assembly

Sub-assembly and full product build, integrating moulded parts, electronics and mechanical components in house.

View Service

Finishing

Trimming, decoration and finishing that gets moulded parts to a supplied-ready standard before they leave the building.

View Service

Tooling

Prototype, bridge and production tooling cut in house in P20 steel, guaranteed for a minimum of 10,000 parts.

How It Works

From enquiry to a repeatable production run.

Turnkey manufacturing, from the first DFM review to parts on your dock. Here's how a project runs.

Get Started
1Send your part and volumes

Send a STEP or IGES file, a drawing or a sample, along with your material, annual volume and any compliance requirements. If you only have a concept, our in-house design office can develop it into a manufacturable part.

2DFM review and fixed quote

We run a design-for-manufacture and mouldability review, advise on material and the best moulding route, then confirm tooling cost, part price and a fixed lead time before any work begins. You talk to the engineers doing the work, not a sales desk.

3Tooling cut in house

Our tool room cuts your mould in P20 pre-toughened steel, single or multi-cavity to suit your volume. Tools are guaranteed for a minimum of 10,000 parts and maintained free of charge for as long as the tool stays with us.

4First-off samples and approval

We produce first-off samples for you to check against your drawing and sign off. Any adjustments to the tool or process are handled before we commit to the full run.

5Production, finishing and repeat runs

We mould, weld, assemble and finish to a supplied-ready standard under one ISO 9001 process, then hold your tool for scheduled repeat runs. Need to prove a design first? Start on the prototyping side →
